Back from speaking at a very stimulating conference on the far-right and social media, at the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) in Berlin, and meeting like-minded journalists.
(Don't miss "Facing Justice", marking 50 years since the Eichmann trial in Jerusalem - on until Sep 18, 2011 at the Topography of Terror documentation center.)
FES recently released a study on European intolerance, discrimination and prejudice. Among their findings:

* About one third of respondents believe there is a natural hierarchy of ethnicity
* In Poland, more than 70 percent believe that Jews seek to benefit from their forebears’ suffering during the Nazi era.
